Abstract
This study examines the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES), school type, and anxiety levels among Secondary School students in the Kachchh district. Utilizing a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 150 students across government, grant-aided, and private schools. Results indicate a significant negative relationship between SES and anxiety, with higher SES linked to lower anxiety. Additionally, significant differences in anxiety levels were found among school types, with grant-aided schools reporting the highest anxiety. No significant interaction effect between SES and school type on anxiety was observed. These findings suggest the need for targeted mental health interventions based on SES and school type.
