Abstract
This article explores the causes, effects, and remedies for anxiety in students, highlighting academic pressures, social stressors, family expectations, peer relationships, and financial concerns as key contributors. Anxiety significantly impacts students’ cognitive functioning, emotional well-being, social interactions, and academic performance. Effective management strategies include cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices, improved time management, social support systems, and counselling resources. Emphasizing the role of educational institutions, the article calls for increased awareness, educator training, and further research to create tailored interventions. Recognizing anxiety as a serious mental health issue is essential to support students in managing their symptoms and achieving their potential.
