Abstract
This study investigates the formation of attitudes toward sex and sexual behaviour among rural and urban adults in India. Given the socio-cultural and educational disparities between rural and urban areas, this study explores how these factors shape sexual attitudes in the two populations. Data were collected from 100 adults, equally divided between rural and urban participants. The results highlight that urban adults exhibit more liberal sexual attitudes, largely due to greater access to education and media exposure, while rural adults adhere to more traditional values. The study also incorporates comparative findings from other countries to contextualize the Indian results. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need for tailored sexual education programs that address these disparities.
