Abstract
This paper portrays the advancements and changes of the population policies and their implementations in India since the 1950s. It generally isolates the population policies and the implementations into three period. The first is a help giving period somewhere in the range of 1952 and 1961. The second is a goal and target arranged period somewhere in the range of 1962 and 1977. The third is a deliberate period since April 1977. The creator reasons that India’s population control is considerably less compelling than the legislature anticipated. In the customary and profoundly differentiated India society, family arranging can be supported and advanced, yet can’t be constrained. Subsequently, an extensive financial improvement could be an increasingly compelling route in decreasing the overpopulation issue.
