Abstract

The rise of machine translation (MT) technologies has revolutionized the way languages are translated, offering speed and efficiency that human translators cannot match. However, despite these advancements, human translation (HT) continues to play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and contextual understanding that machines often miss. This paper examines the strengths and limitations of both machine and human translation, exploring how each method addresses the core challenges of translation: speed, accuracy, and cultural nuance. Machine translation is unmatched in its ability to process large volumes of text quickly, making it invaluable for tasks requiring rapid translation, such as business communication and real-time interactions.
