Abstract
“Sustainable Development is the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. This definition is given by the United Nations and to achieve these goals a universal framework for addressing global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and education is needed which requires an educated and skilled population capable of tackling complex issues through innovation, collaboration, and social responsibility. To meet the needs of sustainable development goals our goal is to create awareness among students and enhance their life skills. And by using those knowledge and skills they have learnt and developed from their schools will make them responsible human beings in their future. Education and awareness will not be enough if we won’t practice them regularly in our lives and make it a habit like conservation of Nature and water, choosing gardening as hobbies, engaging in Yoga from student life as it is considered a sustainable skills in action, changing snacking habits from fast food to fresh fruits, spreading awareness through digital literacy . Our education systems must prioritise these skill developments to empower students to contribute meaningfully towards the goals. Resources are finite and should be used conservatively and judiciously the way resources should be used. Sustainability is about our children and our future generations so it is our responsibility to teach and train them so that they could be skilled enough to take the charge of the world and make it a better place to live in. In this article we will discuss in details about sustainable practices and how we can improve our environment.
