Abstract

Anxiety is considered a negative emotion, most researchers have focused on the negative influence it has on performance, where the focal point has been on examining the intensity of anxiety a footballer feels before and during competition. It appears, however, that an athlete’s interpretation of anxiety is key in understanding the effects it has on performance. The present study is conducted to find the effect of age on anxiety of IPSC member schools’ 225 football players. The GASC by Dr. Anil Kumar was used for the purpose. The ANOVA, Bonferrroni and Chi Square was calculated and checked at 0.05 level of significance. It was found that there is significant impact of age on anxiety of IPSC member Schools’ Football players.
