Abstract
Caring for children diagnosed with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Intellectual Disability (ID) often places a considerable emotional and psychological burden on parents. These challenges stem from ongoing caregiving responsibilities, societal stigma, financial pressures, and concerns about the child’s long-term prospects. This paper investigates the mental health of these parents, identifying both risk and protective factors, and reviews interventions that can enhance their psychological resilience. The discussion is grounded in recent scholarly research and includes recommendations for clinical practice and policy development.
