Abstract

We come across Paranormal Ghost investigators using scientific gadgets to communicate with spirits at haunted places. They work on many assumptions viz. ghosts emit Electromagnetic fields and respond to EMF meters, they draw energy from the environment for their manifestation which creates cold spots which not only get noticed on special thermometers but also lead to their leaving thermal signatures captured as their pictures on thermal cameras.  They also believe that we can’t see them but can capture their images on special night cameras. There are many more assumptions about ghost capabilities which form the foundation for their investigation. This paper explores these assumptions and examines whether the assumptions are scientific. The aim of the paper is not to discredit the valuable work being done by the Paranormal Investigators nor does it attempt to answer the question- Do Ghosts Exist? The author being a parapsychological researcher believes that worldwide apparitions are seen and after death communications with discarnate spirits do happen. Parapsychologists are doing causal research to find scientific reasons behind these phenomena and one day science will advance and provide us with answers.
