Abstract
Performance Appraisal of HFIs can be done through the different parameters. It may be through checking the Operational Efficiency of the HFIs. It may be done through the customer aptitude analysis because customers are the most important aspect of the HFIs. But in this paper only the Operational Performance aspect is taken. Operational performance analysis is the process of evaluating how well an organization is achieving its operational objectives and goals. This analysis involves measuring various key performance indicators (KPIs) and assessing how they compare to benchmarks and industry standards. By analyzing operational performance, organizations can identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability. In the research paper a research hypothesis “There is no significant difference between the Operational Performance of HDFC and LICHFL.” is tested with the help of various parameters viz. Interest Income and Turnover (Loan Outstanding) of HDFC & LIC HFL,,Operating Profit and Turnover(Loan Outstanding) of HDFC & LICHFL, Net Profit and Turnover(Loan Outstanding) of HDFC & LICHFL, Loan Disbursement to Loan Sanctioned, Loan Disbursement, Average Size of Loan, Non-Performing Assets, Profit Per Employee.
