Abstract
Internet made the information search very easy in just a one touch. Instead of one information or data regarding one topic or subject, we get enormous data or information relating that particular topic. The temptation to use all the data or information in the work made the user confused and greedy. They inspire to copy the work given on web. Sometimes, under pressure or lack of knowledge are also being some reasons, they use the readymade material from the web. This makes some serious issues of copyright as well as fair use. This kind of coping data existed in past even when internet was not invented. That time some laws and regulation were made for copyright and fair use. Now, technology change and the copying of data are now being in a large scale due to number of courses in education, research etc. So the problem is now turn in a other way to copy others ideas or work which is being a great crime. This is called Plagiarism. In this paper, Plagiarism is discussed in an introductory way to k\now about its concept, causes, penalties and seriousness.
