Abstract
‘Death’ is a word no one wants to talk about. Each person believes it is not for him but all are eager to know what happens after death! Do we perish as do the irreparable machines, or a part of us survives in bodiless form as is claimed in the Hindu religion. This paper discusses the aspect of the afterlife using a scientific perspective. The general argument given for life after death is the occurrence of incidents of manifestation of ghosts/spirits as experienced worldwide. Literature abounds in tales of apparitions and ghostly appearances. I personally experienced seeing my late mother. The paper scientifically proves that ghost manifestations are not real and hence cannot be taken as evidence of life existing after bodily death. Direct evidence of afterlife is simply not possible because ticket is one-way—dead cannot come back to reveal what happens after death! But, then, is there no way to get at the truth? This paper discusses scientifically the possibility of life continuing after death!!
